Vishwakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC), also known as Government Engineering College, Chandkheda (GEC Chandkheda) located at Chandkheda, Ahmedabad District, India. VGEC affiliated Gujarat Technological University. College was established in 1994, from Ms. building sector 11, Gandhinagar. Campus was opened by Chief Minister Narendra Modi in 2005.
Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, Ahmedabad was established in August 1994, an objective with impart higher education in various fields and technology. This institute is recognized by all India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Managed by Commission Rate of Technical Education, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar and affiliated Gujarat Technological University.
When started in 1994, had college three departments - electric, IC and chemically. Other departments introduced later. Three departments are NBA accredited.
In June 2005, the college moved to their new campus at Chandkheda, Ahmedabad. The new campus has a total of 14 blocks with area of 21,000 sq meters (approx).
