PRL (Physical Research Laboratory) Junior research fellowship program provides highly motivated students to pursue PhD research laboratory physical (PRL), known for being the birthplace of the Indian Space Sciences is a research National Award was established in 1947 by Dr. Vikram A. Sarabhai under the auspices of the Department of Space, Government of India.
Thematic areas: astronomy, astrophysics, solar physics, planetary science, geoscience, space and atmospheric sciences, laser and atomic physics Experimental and theoretical physics.
All students must undergo two semesters of course work after joining the Institute, and only after the completion of the work of the course, students will join research groups.
THE CANDIDATES SHOULD
Being an Indian citizen.
They have a degree and Masters in physics, chemistry, geology, geophysics, ocean sciences, atmospheric sciences, environmental sciences and physical space with first class (60%) or equivalent levels of both undergraduate and master.
Students from all disciplines of the application program JRF should have a degree in physics and mathematics.
Also eligible are the grant request object have secured first class (60%) or equivalent degrees until the last semester the students waiting for a master.
Selection: Candidates are selected on the basis of scores door / CSIR-UGC-NET / Post graduation joke and a written test followed by an interview.
Description of the grant
The scholarship is provided for two years and will be paid a consolidated amount of Rs.16,000 / -Month, who was raised to Rs.18, 000 / - in the third revised satisfactory academic year. Research grants are under review and anount increased according to the directives of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The scholarship covers tuition related expenses for doctorate in philosophy, such as tuition and examination fees. Students are required to participate in a meeting during the tenure of international academic doctorate and offered financial support to Rs. 1.0 / -lakh (Rupees one lakh only) for the same.
Age limit: 25 years as of December 31
