The deputy Innes Mahindra Education Trust was founded in 1953 to transform the lives of people in India through education and financial assistance through age groups and income strata nearly 60 years. The grant of C Mahindra Posgrade study abroad scholarship is an interest-free loan given to graduates interested in continuing their postgraduate studies abroad deserve. Started in 1956, mainly to students interested in subjects that are not accessible continue to India and that are important to India's development, such as bio-gas technology, water management, agricultural research, economics, naval and science of aviation, electronics and other emerging areas related to science. In other to be eligible for scholarship candidates and possess first class degree. The candidate must also have secured admission or at least have requested admission and honorable institution or university abroad at the time of submission of the application form.
Announcement of the grant is made in January to major newspapers across India. Students are called short listed for interviews held in late July. At the time of the interview he has admitted to the Institute. Currently the maximum amount granted by the grant of Rs. 10 lakh. Last year KCMET also announced the KC Mahindra scholarship fund where 3 more deserving candidates for the above mentioned scholarship awarded a grant of a loan without interest of Rs 8 lakh for academic merit and based on the need. And a maximum of Rs. 2 lakh per scholar, delivered the remaining candidates
