JEE Advanced 2015: Syllabus for Architectural Aptitude Test (AAT)

Candidates wishing to join B.Arch courses (architecture) will qualify for the aptitude test architecture (AAT). Only those candidates who have achieved the rank of India / category all in JEE (advanced) in 2015 are eligible to appear for AAT 2015.

The syllabus for architectural aptitude test (AAT) bifurcates into the following parts:

Freehand drawing


Perception in three dimensions

Aesthetic sensibility and imagination

Architectural Awareness

Freehand drawing: want to join this simple drawing that represents the total object in its proper location on the form and proportion, surface texture and details of its component parts on an appropriate scale. Domestic or common objects of everyday life as usable furniture, equipment, etc., memory

Geometric: exercises that contain geometric lines, angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles, etc .. Study plan (top view), elevation (frontal or side) of simple solid objects such as prisms, cones, cylinders, cubes, extended surfaces holders etc ..

Perception in three dimensions: understanding and appreciation of three-dimensional shapes with the construction elements, color, size and orientation. View through memory objects structuring

Aesthetic sensibility and imagination exercise given composition elements. Assigning context. Checking creativity through innovative test familiars.Sentit strange objects of the group or the application of color

Architectural Awareness: General interest and awareness of the famous architectural creations - national and international, places and personalities (architects, designers, etc.) in the related domain
