Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, while presenting the Railway Budget for 2015-16, announced that IIT Kanpur, design research and standards organization (RDSO and Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will help in providing facilities the safety precautions and the level crossing with the aim of reducing accidents and mishaps unmanned. Prabhu also mentioned that Malaviya chair rail technology at IIT (BHU) Varanasi was created to help in terms of research and metal Chair will help in developing new materials to be used in all assets of railways.
