Campus of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) is in turn cashless, card transactions are introduced. Students of the Institute will use the card for any transaction with the facility to be installed in various outlets, such as library, stores, theaters, cafeterias, convenience stores and kiosks cooperatives dining.
IIM Calcutta has merged with a private bank that has started to issue these cards, and swiped card machines installed in the campus. Students are required to fill out their cards at charging stations specified. Each card is valid for a period of three years and the license holders have to pay Rs 200 for each card. The new facility aims to benefit students and vendors alike. This will help end the credit system offered to students, and students will find useful while carrying the card, sellers receive the money without delay, say officials IIM Calcutta.
Although the facility has been designed for students who later extended to employees and other employees of the Institute, the Institute officials added. The system will be comfortable and uncomplicated transactions campus residential IIM Calcutta.
