The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is scheduled to take place on 14 December 2014 The examination will be conducted in two sessions ie first session from 10:30 to 12: 30h and 14h second session will be held at 16h. The morning session will consist of a section (basics of accounting) and Section B (company law) and the afternoon session will section C (general economy) and Section D (Quantitative Aptitude).

Cleaning the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is the first step towards Chartered accountant. It is held biannually in June and December by the Institute of economists India (ICAI) and takes place in two sessions carrying 100 marks each in a single exam date. To be considered as having cleared the CPT, the candidate is required to score minimum 30 percent overall and in each individual section scores despite negative 50 percent aggregate.
