The results of the Civil Services (2014-2015) exam is postponed because of the Supreme Court's decision to scrap 'Jat' reservation. The last interview of candidates are also vulnerable because of the overruling.
Civil services result would be declared March end, but no such notice has been released yet. More than 20,000 candidates awaiting the results of the final examination of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), which is implemented as entrance test for civil services.
UPSC exam held in August 2014 which was followed by massive protests as much weight age was given to the English aptitude test. According Times of India, the issue was debated in Parliament and now UPSC asked law and social Justice Department to investigate the problem and if they have to appeal against the order of the Supreme Court for the way forward.
Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) government has come out in support quotas for "Jats" and after the issue, a delegation of community leaders Jat met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thurday. Narendra Modi has confirmed that the center is going through the Supreme Court order and find a solution in the legal framework of the Constitution.
For now, the dates of performance and interview on civil services candidates has been postponed.
