All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination - 2015 is carried out, except in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, the latest data released by the central board of secondary education.
The entrance test for the academic session 2015-16 to 15 percent profit positions in Medical / Dental colleges in India is due on May 3, 2015 in select cities across the country and abroad.
The decision came after the approval of the General Directorate of health services, health and family welfare and the Government of India. National level medical exam by CBSE is conducted to provide admission to about 2,200 MBBS and 300 BDS seats in 130 government medical and 30 dental colleges in India, respectively.
Applicants must be 17 years of age as on or before December 31, 2015
The upper age limit for candidates applying for admission under 15 per cent all India quota seats is 25 years as on 31 December 2015 But softening of five years in upper age limit of candidates belonging from scheduled castes / scheduled tribes / Other Backward Classes offered them.
Candidates who have appeared for the intermediate examination and the result is expected, are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
Candidates must have passed the following subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English in the qualifying examination by securing 50 per cent marks and their equivalency determined by regulations of the Medical Council of India and the concerned University.
