CAT 2014: New marking scheme for the examination

The usual admission Test 2014 (CAT 2014) is scheduled to be held from next week - 16 November and 22 November 2014.

Review of the year has seen several changes; duration of test increased to 30 minutes, increasing the total time for 170 minutt.Hei will be 50 questions in each section to 30 preguntes.També applicants are free to try some and can change from one section to another according to your choice . A timer display marks the minutes remaining for the test.

Along with other changes, some changes in the marking system is shown below:

Each correct answer will be awarded three points for the candidate. This means a total maximum score in CAT 2014 will be 300 as the number of questions is 100. The exam has two sections of 50 questions. Both sections - quantitative ability (QA) and data interpretation (DI) and the second part contains verbal ability (VA) and logical reasoning (LR).

For each incorrect answer deducted one point, which implies a negative third set.

There is no penalty for questions left unanswered. So applicants should better leave the question unanswered if you are not quite sure.

The question palette box to the right shows the status of issues in four colors as mentioned below:
Green - Answers to questions
Red - unanswered questions
White - have questions
Violet - the question set for review

While candidates can answer questions press save and Close to save your answers and move to the next question, or clear the check box is selected to answer the question given. If a candidate wants to spend more time with questions, but want to return them to the final mark for review & next button can be pressed. Also ask at the time of the trial of these issues.

Enable Send fest only at the end of the test period. When you click the Submit button, the system will push to confirm submission. The system displays an overview of the status of questions attempted by the candidate.
