College at a glance
AWH Engineering College (AEC), founded in 2001, is a self financing Engineering College managed by the Association for the welfare of the handicapped (AWH), Kozhikode, Kerala. It is affiliated to the University of Calicut and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). AWH Engineering College is an institution set up mixed with the sole purpose of honoring engineers of excellent quality.
The AEC is dedicated to helping students learn and develop their skills and potential. Our faculty is committed to quality teaching and learning for advanced students, preparing them for future careers in the professions and public services.
The College is located on a sprawling serene and evergreen campus is spread over an area of 50 hectares near Kuttikattoor. It is 26 km from the International Airport of Calicut, Karipur, 12 km from Kozhikode Corporation bus stop and 13 km from the railway station of Kozhikode.
The historic city of Calicut is the hub for several educational institutions, including many prestigious universities of engineering, medical colleges, polytechnics, arts and science colleges, Indian Institute of Management (IIMK), National Institute of Technology (NICT), etc.. Calicut is a beautiful coastal city, known as the clean city of Kerala, God's own country.
AEC offers this year 4 Baraldi in 6 branches and MCA program of 3 years. AICTE has already sanctioned approval to start MTech courses in industrial engineering, structural engineering and VLSI. Plans are made to start a real MBA program too.

B.Tech: Pass in Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or examination recognized equivalent there to with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science put together. Admission is based on the list published by the Govt. Entrance Commission for the merit quota and as per the existing Govt. rules for Management quota. A relaxation of 5% marks in qualifying examination for SEBC candidates is allowed. Candidates who have Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Examinations, or an examination recognised equivalent thereto, by the State Board of Technical Education after undergoing an institutional course of at least 3 years, securing a minimum of 50% marks in the final Diploma Examination are eligible for admission to the special reservation quota (DE) as shown in Clause 5.2.9.
Lateral Entry Admission:
Pass a Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Examination or an examination recognized equivalent there to, by the State Board of Technical Education after undergoing an institutional course of at least 3 years, securing a minimum of 60% marks in the final diploma examination are eligible for admission to second year B.Tech
MCA (3 years)
Master of Computer Application (MCA)
B.Sc / B.Com or equivalent with Mathematics / Statistics as an optional subject with 50% marks aggregate (including languages) and 60% in optional subjects (B.Com degree with Business Mathematics / Statistics as an optional subject are not eligible). BCA/B.Sc Computer Science / B.Sc IT / B.Sc Electronics are eligible.
MBA & M.Tech
AICTE has already sanctioned approval for starting MTech Courses in Industrial Engineering, Structural Engineering and VLSI. Steps are being taken to start MTech course in Computer Science & Engineering and a full fledged MBA programme.
