According to a statement from the center to the Supreme Court, which is expected in three months to improve the grading system of universities and the implementation process would be carried out as part of the same duration.
The government is in talks with various stakeholders regarding the upgradation of the system, including whole bodies as India Council Technical Education (AICTE), University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Also, several private universities are considered opposing the passage by the Center, the claim that there is no such provision under the executive action that allows the government to establish the criteria of qualifications.
The government has been asked to respond to the objections made by the universities considered three weeks. According to court orders, UGC can inspect universities University Maharishi Markandeshwar Ambala, Manav Rachan International University in Faridabad, education Bharat Institute of Education & Research in Chennai, Ponnaiyah Ramajayam Institute of Science and Technology at Thanjavur, Institute of Advanced Studies in Education Huru (Rajasthan), Academy of maritime education and training in Chennai, Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya in Hardiwar ruthless and research mission Foundation Salem (Tamil Nadu).
Currently 41 deemed universities under scan failed to meet the criteria in relation to the same.
